Diane Elliott Robinson,
Artistic Director |
Diane has studied acting, dance,
pantomiming and voice at the Children's
Theater. At the Minnesota Dance
Theater she studied ballet, improvisation,
modern dance and dance composition.
She received her Bachelor of Science in
Business Management in 1987. She
taught ballet and jazz at the Metropolitan
Cultural Art Center for six years before she
established Hollywood Studio of Dance (HSD)
in 1991. In addition to her work at
HSD, she has choreographed the Minnesota
Talented Teens competition for four years
and taught dance at Cityview Performing Art
School for four years. Diane Robinson
received the Josten/Timberwolves community
comment award in 1999 for her work with
Hollywood Studio of Dance. |

Brianna Lewis |
Brianna has
been dancing for 11 amazing years. She graduated from Fridley High
School. This is her first year with HSD and looks forward to a good
year, and many more to come. Currently Brianna works for a Non Profit
Organization helping the homeless.
Besides
working and dancing Brianna loves spending time with her 4 year old
daughter Amariana.
She
specializes in jazz, pointe, lyrical, musical theater. For
Brianna, the best part of teaching is watching the kids grow as
dancers. |

Lucy Rahn |
Lucy grew up in Minneapolis, MN, taking
dance and theater classes, performing in
plays at The Children's Theatre Co. and
co-choreographing for a musical as a senior
at South High. She earned a Bachelor of
Arts in French and Environmental Studies
from the University of Wisconsin - Madison
where she danced with visiting artists.
Inspired to keep dancing, she attended the
American Dance Festival in NC and joined
Kanopy Dance (modern) in Madison. In MN,
she performed with Karis Sloss' Eclectic
Edge Ensemble (jazz) and other local
artists. Her choreography was presented at
the Ritz Theater and at the Lowry Lab
Theater. Lucy recently earned a Master of
Fine Arts in Dance Performance and
Choreography from a college in CA where she
performed in works by Robert Battle, Sean
Curran, Trisha Brown and Molissa Fenley.
Lucy has run an outdoor dance camp for kids
for the past 6 summers and has taught at
various studios in the metro area. She
would like to keep developing her
choreography and have her own company
sometime in the near future. |

Maria Fontana |
Maria studied and performed with the Des
Moines Ballet Company under the direction of
Stephan Laurent and Kenneth Oberly. She
performed various roles in the Nutcracker,
Cinderella, Coppelia, Swan Lake and Four
Sisters. She studied at the American
Ballet Theater, Steps with David Howard,
Alvin Ailey, Broadway Dance Center in NYC,
the New York City Ballet and with Gus
Giordano in Chicago. Maria has been
teaching dance for the 12 years and has
taught dance at Minneapolis Community
College, Holly's Centre Stage Dance, Pratt
Community Center, Holland Elementary, Lake
Harriett Dance, and Whittier for the Arts,
the YWCA, and On Your Toes School of Dance.
Along with teaching, she also choreographs
many pieces for her students to perform in
shows and benefits throughout the city.
Maria has an Associate Degree in Liberal
Arts. Maria is also certified through NETA
and Les Mills. She has done freelance art
jobs for Concord Jazz label, Minneapolis
Elementary Schools, Color Wheel Art Gallery,
various dance studios, and dance apparel
shops. |

Karrie Puckett |
Karrie
Renee Puckett is a senior at De la Salle
High School where she currently is on the
yearbook staff and participated with the
competition cheer team for 2 years. Karrie
began dancing at the age of 3 years old with
Hollywood Studio of Dance (HSD). Karrie has
studied ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and
lyrical under the direction of Artistic
Director, Diane Robinson. Karrie has
participated in the Assistant Teacher
program at HSD for the past 5 years and on
the competition dance team for the past 8
years. As a performer, Karrie has traveled
to Springfield, IL, Las Vegas, NV, Myrtle
Beach, NC and Orlando, Florida to compete in
national competitions. Currently, Karrie is
a lead dance teacher for Hollywood and
looking forward to graduating from De La
Salle High School and travelling to Chicago,
IL to compete in a national competition.
